"Roe" came to Lollypop Farm in 2019 after her owner could no longer afford to care for her. She was lightly raced for 2 years, with only 14 starts. She has had 3 foals over her life, with the last colt born in 2018. Roe previously was trained as a H/J mount, and had been trail ridden. She developed some serious behavioral issues under saddle including rearing. After arriving at Lollypop, we had her back x-rayed and discovered she has Kissing Spine in 5 locations right under where the saddle lies. Surgery was not a viable option for her. After discussion with our vet based on the severity of the Kissing Spine and her past under saddle behavioral issues, we determined Roe is best suited as a companion horse now. Roe is UTD on trims, dental work, deworming, and vet care. She has lovely ground manners, and is very sweet with people. She is very dominant when turned out with 1 other horse and does best with a more dominant mare. When turned out with multiple horses, she's generally in the middle of the herd.
